An der Universität für angewandte Kunst
Wien ist ehestmöglich im Wintersemester 2018 am Zentrum Fokus Forschung eine
halbbeschäftigte Stelle einer
Universitätsprofessorin / eines Universitätsprofessors für das DOKTORATSPROGRAMM KÜNSTLERISCHE FORSCHUNG (PHD in ART)zu besetzen. Die Position wird befristet auf drei Jahre ausgeschrieben.
Gesucht wird eine Person mit intensiver
und hervorragender Praxis sowie umfassenden Kenntnissen im Feld künstlerischer Forschung. Die Person soll das PhD Programm
unter den spezifischen Gegebenheiten einer Kunstuniversität und in guter Abstimmung mit den Kolleginnen und Kollegen des Hauses
bestmöglich begleiten und entwickeln, und es auf internationalem Niveau in seiner Positionierung unterstützen. Zumal künstlerische
Forschung an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien ein wichtiges strategisches Entwicklungsfeld in Forschung wie Lehre
darstellt, wird von der gesuchten Person erwartet, sich mit ihrer persönlichen Expertise und Forschungserfahrung entsprechend
für eine ausgezeichnete Profilbildung einzusetzen.
Kernaufgaben sind: Mitarbeit bei der Auswahl
von PhD – KandidatInnen • kontinuierliche Abstimmung mit den BetreuerInnen • regelmäßige Durchführung eines adäquaten Beratungsformates
(Sprechstunden o.ä.) • Abhalten der LV „Theorie und Praxis künstlerischer Forschung“ (siehe Curriculum) • Feedback und Beratung
im Rahmen der internen Colloquien (siehe Curriculum) • Teilnahme als Expertin/Experte am Public Colloquium (siehe Curriculum)
• Mitarbeit bei der Vorbereitung des jährlichen Public Colloquium • Austausch mit KollegInnen an der Angewandten (inkl. Teilnahme
an Treffen der gesamten BetreuerInnengruppe) • Zusammenarbeit mit Team und Leitung des Zentrums Fokus Forschung bzw. dem Programmkoordinator
• Vernetzungsaktivitäten - Mitwirkung an der Vertretung des Programms - auch im internationalen Feld
Erwartet
werden:- Nachgewiesene Forschungskompetenz (Künstlerische Forschungspraxis)
- internationale Vernetzung
- intensive Forschungs- und Publikationsaktivitäten, insbesondere unter Nutzung der österreichischen und europäischen Forschungsförderungsinstitutionen
- Offenlegung des eigenen Forschungsbegriffs
- didaktische Fähigkeiten auch zur Vermittlung der eigenen künstlerischen
Forschungsarbeit
- die Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur Betreuung von Forschungsarbeiten
- die Bereitschaft zur Übernahme
auch organisatorischer und administrativer Aufgaben
- Teamfähigkeit
- Kenntnis und Einbringen relevanter Positionen
künstlerischer Forschung
- Kenntnis des breiten Panoramas künstlerischer Forschungsmethoden und Interesse, ein gutes
Forschungsmilieu mitzugestalten
Die Universität strebt eine Erhöhung des Frauenanteils in leitenden Positionen

Das verhandelbare Mindestgehalt für Professorinnen und Professoren beträgt laut Kollektivvertrag Euro
2.502,55 brutto monatlich, 14x im Jahr.

Focus for a
part-time University Professor for the ARTISTIC RESEARCH PHD PROGRAMME
(PHD in ART) The position is for a fixed period of three years.
We are looking
for a person with in-depth and outstanding practice, as well as comprehensive knowledge, in the field of artistic research.
This person is to provide optimum support for the PhD in Art programme, develop it under the specific conditions relevant
to an art university and in good coordination with the university colleagues, plus assist in positioning the programme on
an international level. As artistic research represents an important strategic area of development for research and teaching
at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, we expect the candidate to contribute her/his own expertise and research experience
accordingly in order to ensure an excellent profile building.
Core tasks are: assisting
in selecting PhD candidates • ongoing coordination with the tutors • regularly providing an adequate format of advice (office/consultation
hours, or similar) • carrying out the course „Theory and Practice of Artistic Research“ (cf. curriculum) • providing feedback
and advice within the framework of internal colloquia (cf. curriculum) • participating as expert in the public colloquium
(cf. curriculum) • assisting in preparing the annual public colloquium • communicating with colleagues at the Angewandte (incl.
the participation in meetings of the entire group of tutors) • collaborating with the head and team of Center Research Focus,
respectively the programme coordinator • networking activities – contributing to representing the programme – also in the
international field.

We are seeking to increase the number of women

In accordance with the Collective Wage Agreement, the negotiable
minimum gross salary for professors amounts to Euro 2,502.55 per month, payable 14 times per annum.
Renumeration in excess
of the Wage Agreement would depend on the candidate’s qualification profile.
