ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)

The ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) programme promotes short-term teaching assignments at ERASMUS+ partner universities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum duration: 2 days
  • Maximum duration: 7 days
  • A minimum of 8 hours of teaching for a teaching stay of 2-7 days.
  • Employment with the University of Applied Arts Vienna at date of application and throughout period of travel
  • First-time participants will be given priority.
  • During an Erasmus+ teaching stay, inclusion support is also available for staff with disabilities and staff with chronic illnesses.
Application deadline: Application is possible at any time (not later than two months before the start of your proposed stay abroad). For Information and forms please contact the International Office.

ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

The ERASMUS+ Staff Training (STT) programme offers opportunities of acquiring knowledge and professional experience abroad for ALL employees of the Angewandte.

Requirements:
  • Minimum duration: 2 days
  • Maximum duration: 7 days
  • Full-time or part-time non-academic university staff (minimum of 20 hours per week).
  • An employment contract that has existed for at least 3 months before the stay abroad and will last for at least six more months after your return.
  • Approval by direct superior.
  • Working programme (including purpose, objectives, proposed activities).
  • During an Erasmus+ training, inclusion support is also available for staff with disabilities and staff with chronic illnesses.

Exchanges to International Partner Universities (outside ERASMUS+ Program) - Teachers only (!)

The Angewandte maintains numerous agreements with international partner universities outside the ERASMUS+ programme, which enable you to teach and research abroad. This network is being continuously expanded in order to be able to offer a broad spectrum of international experience outside Europe.

Service from International Office:
  • Establishing contacts with relevant institutions
  • Support with research on academic departments / professors
Procedure:
  • Co-operation must be artistically/academically relevant for the university
  • Approval by the Rectorate
  • Possible leave of absence / funding - agreement directly with the Rectorate and HR department
  • These are NOT financed by the ERASMUS+ budget

Other travel allowances for artistic-scientific staff and general staff

  • for training events that have not been arranged
  • for accompanying staff on excursions (voluntary participation)
  • for projects that are defined in the target agreements and financially covered and are financed from the respective funds of the organizational unit
Can be requested directly from the departments or the rectorate and are not managed by the International Office.


Information for Incoming Staff Mobility

Incoming applications for staff mobility are primarily accepted from partner institutions.

  • The approval for a mobility is given by the respective department.
  • The length of stay is limited to a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 5 days.
  • Preferred times to visit the Angewandte are: Open House (usually October/November), Angewandte Festival (end of June), Angewandte Abschluss Arbeiten AAA (end of January)
Please note that during the summer months from July to September and in February the Angewandte is in limited operation, as this includes the course-free period.
