The
lecture series ‘Art – Research – Gender’ will focus on the theme of ‘re-matriation’ in the 2026/27 academic year. Artists
and academics from all disciplines, as well as activists, are invited to participate.
This
lecture series examines practices of rematriation as a challenge to colonial logics of ownership, restitution and value, looking
beyond symbolic gestures and the return of colonial objects to focus on relationships with land, ancestors, community and
non-human kin. Early-career researchers in particular are invited to submit abstracts – for example, based on their doctoral
research.
Full details of the call and submission guidelines can be found at dieangewandte.at/kfg_call-for-lecture.
