Island Tides Initiative - Department of Artistic StrategiesThe Island Tides Initiative, an Interdisciplinary Research Program housed at the Department of Artistic Strategies
in collaboration with the Embassy of the Philippines in Austria are hosting a lecture on the Weltmuseum’s Philippine collection,
and the complex institutional history of the
National Museum of the Philippines,
as modeled after the American Smithsonian during the Philippine’s colonial period.
The lecture will be given by Director-General Jeremy Barns of the National Museum of the Philippines
and moderated by Johanna Schindler of Expanded Museum Studies.
