Sculpture and Space

Cana Bilir-Meier studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, in the Department of Fine Arts as well as at the Institute for Education in the Arts, and at the Sabancı University in İstanbul. In 2021 she was interim professor of art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 2018, she co-founded the initiative to commemorate Semra Ertan, and in 2020, she co-published the volume of poetry “Semra Ertan. My name is a foreigner / Benim Adım Yabancı”. In 2018 she was the winner of the ars viva prize from the Cultural Circle of German Business, and in 2016, she won the Birgit-Jürgenssen Prize.
