Inauguration of the new and first Rector of the University of Applied Arts

During the inauguration
ceremony of Petra Schaper Rinkel on October 2, 2023, all university members - students, faculty and staff of Angewandte -
were invited to celebrate the inauguration of the new rectorate team and the start of the new academic year.
The Angewandte, represented by its students, teachers, staff and representatives of its committees,
numerous rectors and vice rectors of Austrian universities, the presidents of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Austrian
Science Fund and many guests and colleagues from the science and university sector as well as from the arts and culture sector
took part in the ceremony. The ceremony was supported by the handover of office by the retired rector Gerald Bast, the inaugural
speech of the new rector Schaper Rinkel and included the introduction of the vice rectors - with musical accompaniment by
the radio.string.quartett.
With DJ sound the evening found a relaxed ending!
