Memorial fire for peaceful coexistence

In memory of the victims of the horrific attack on 2 November 2020, the University of Applied Arts Vienna will once again light a bonfire in 2023 as a recurring symbol against violence and for peaceful coexistence.

The memorial fire at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz will burn on Thursday, 2 November 2023 from 11.00-17.00.

We will keep vigil at the fire during this period - a recurring fire of mourning, pain, anger, hope and love.
