Applied
Photograpy and Time-Based Media in cooperation with the Chamber of Labor of Vienna
On construction fences, in shop
windows, at market stalls and on advertising pillars throughout the city, students from the Department of Applied Photography
and Time-Based Media are showing photos and videos on the subject of fair living and housing in Vienna. Come and see them
from June 26 to September 1. Whether at the Schlingermarkt (Floridsdorf), at the U3 Ottakring, at the Viktor-Adler-Markt or
at the Volkertmarkt.
In cooperation with the Vienna Chamber of Labor, students
from the Applied Photography class have been exploring the topic of fair urban and housing policies. As part of Summer in
the City, the city exhibition “Wie wir (nicht) leben” ("how we (won't) live”) presents the resulting artistic works
at various locations in public spaces throughout the city of Vienna.
The works will be made accessible to a wide
audience around the areas of Schlingermarkt in Floridsdorf, Ottakring U3 terminus, Viktor-Adler-Markt in Favoriten, Volkertmarkt
in Leopoldstadt, as screenings at the Volxkino, and on the façade of the Angewandte.
The works will be shown on
different displays, indoors and outdoors, in traditional and unconventional settings. A navigation system in the form of an
online city map guides visitors to the various projects and allows them to discover not only the photographic works, but also
the exhibition venues and cooperation partners behind them.
