A five-member jury consisting
of the external experts Karin Cheng, Mara Mattuschka and Sasha Pirker as well as the QUEERTACTICS organizers Dagmar Fink and
Katja Wiederspahn – among others, with the support of VdFS (Verwertungsgesellschaft der Filmschaffenden) and Academy of Fine
Arts Vienna - will award three prizes of EUR 1000 each:
1/ the GOLDEN MEDUSA for the most challenging gender portrayal/s
2/ the GOLDEN MEDUSA for the queerest aesthetics
3/ the GOLDEN MEDUSA for the best LGBTIQ+ documentary

money: EUR 1000 each
Running time: up to 30 minutes

November 17, 2024
Countries of production: either produced in Austria or by Austrian directors
Production period:
not older than two years, i.e. not completed before October 2022

There are no restrictions regarding possible film genres, nor regarding
the context in which the films have been made. We would like to invite filmmakers from diverse communities to submit their
work.
Explicitly activist works are just as welcome as experimental films that were initially created for a gallery context
- as well as, for example, industrial films, porn films or westerns.
The award ceremony will take place on November
17, 2024, in the course of this year’s closing gala of QUEERTACTICS . QUEER_FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL VIENNA. We will present
the award winning films as well as a selection of the nominated works.
