11. May 2022
Statement von Shuzo MATSUHASHI, student at the Department of Fashion Design, University of Applied Arts Vienna:

I am Shuzo Matsuhashi from the Department of Fashion Design. I took part in Young Young Ambassadors Program for Homo Faber organized by Michelangelo foundation from April 2nd to May 2nd.

We started the program with taking lectures about various kinds of craft related to the Homo Faber exhibition which had 15 rooms. Each has different curators, and mainly our work was guiding the Visitors.

We could meet a lot of artisans, curators and artists from various  fields, which gives me numerous inspiration and would overwhelmed my limit and my perspective. It was one of the most beautiful months I have ever had. I appreciate the opportunity.
Statement from Silke Geppert, Ambassador of the Michelangelo Foundation:

The exhibition “Homo Faber 2022 - Crafting a more Human” Future at San Giorgio in Venice represents for me a new renaissance of the joy and appreciation of crafted things. The classical renaissance has discovered "things" - Through Homo Faber, international students, visitors,
connoisseurs and lay people will be able to enjoy a much greater variety of objects than we can believe in our digital world. My amazement at the concept of Homo Faber is due to the admiration and motivation of the Michelangelo Foundation team.
Through Homo Faber 2022 we can engage with the question of who we are and who we want to be in the future - the inspiring and creative exchange with the material world at the exhibition helps to re-establish an emotional relationship with ourselves and our values - it represents our international relations - past and present!
