24. November 2023
The
UN campaign "Orange The World" has been drawing attention to violence since 1991.
The University of Applied Arts Vienna
is once again taking part this year in this important campaign. Starting on November 25, the International Day against Violence
against Women, the following 16 days will be dedicated to the fight against gender-based violence. Until December 10, International
Human Rights Day, the aim is to send out a strong signal and draw attention to the issue in many places and in bright orange.
This year, Angewandte has repeatedly decided to dispense with the usual orange illumination of its main building on Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz
due to the energy crisis, so we are strengthening other digital means of visibility: our website is lit up in ORANGE instead
of Angewandte red.
#16Days - Join in and become active in the fight against violence against women!
Anyone who would like to send a strong signal against violence against
women can obtain campaign tools, posters and badges in the Aula der Angewandte at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2 - while stocks last.
More and further information about violence against women in Austria, the campaign, its digital tools and the opportunity
to take part in the #EndViolence donation campaign can be found at:
