“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven..”
John Milton, Paradise Lost, 1667
There is a city in which all demons are out. Alive and breathing, naked and free. Some demons are just like humans, some others are mythological creatures, some others are saints, and some animals.  Wandering in the streets of this city, we have a glimpse of all of these spirits that wander around us, and that are never silent. It is the city of the contraries, it is a place where opposites live in harmony, besides confusion and rebellion. It is Pandaemonium.

Although its flamboyant streets,  these flames and sparkles do not illuminate or do not warm as we are getting closer, the warmth is given by the presence and the proximity of its inhabitants. We will be experiencing two faces of the same medal, two spiritual entities of the same realm.

We come in a place exhalating a dark, gothic and rebellious aura, where its inhabitants have been punished – or yet to be. Symbolic references meet hierarchical bodies that imply a catabasis into the inner self, teasing and doubting any certainty. The figures are engaging, even the ones that are static. They are confident and in control of the moment; but as the background serves as a pretext, the characters will make everything they can to lure you into their luxurious vortex.

Next to that, we encounter a suspended and timeless atmosphere, dreamy and fairy. The characters here have a more vivid connection with the outside environments, while the composition presents multiple points of view. The bodies engage a relation with the context, no matter the context. Although threads of narrativjes emerge easily, particles of void are still perceptible, and the protagonists  suggest it in their distinctive manner.

Last, but not least, we encounter two inhabitants of the city. Tyranna Sauna Sex and Sheezus H. Christin show us how to give birth in this city and how it is possible to cohabit in togetherness, among the many spirits of the city. As tangible ghosts, the performance will be presented on the opening day, an original mash-up from both performers, in dialogue with the rest of the artworks. At the end, they will leave an afterimage of their birth as a duo.

Every artwork, whatever medium, holds a common feature throughout all the exhibition: to be free, naked and uncensored. Pandaemonium manifests itself right when all demons walk around us, imposing their queer presence on ourselves.
